Our Story
Welcome to Wing Wah. Our story started on 24th and Monroe over 34 years ago. Starting was incredibly hard. Mom and Dad (Sue and Joe) immigrated to the States 40 years ago and went to school to learn English, dreaming of grabbing a tiny slice of the American Dream. After years of saving, they started Ho Wah Restaurant in the heart of Ogden.
(Many of you probably remember a little girl (Nancy) running around crawling and hopping through tables causing tons of extra work for my folks)! Many lessons were learned and mastered during their first 5 years in business and they decided to brave their second restaurant on 7th and Washington. It was smaller than their first shop, but success grew with all the northern neighboring cities and Ogden supporters. Now, Sue and Joe have anchored their 3rd restaurant on 12th and Washington, located right behind Walgreens and Denny's. Their menu has now encompassed gluten-free, vegetarian, and even vegan diets. Now, this 'mom & pop shop' has turned into a family legacy with Lawrence, Jenni, and Ray (my husband, my sister, and my brother) running the day-to-day operations and holding the down fort! Although Mom and Dad have retired, they are busier than ever! They have 6 grandkids all under the age of 4! Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years, we hope o continue this fun, crazy life journey with you and your families!

Wing Wah's New Business Partner
Lawrence Keys moved from the Bay Area, falling in love with the Wasatch Front, decided to grow his new family roots in Utah. After seeing me (his wife) working the shop everyday, he figured the only way to "hang out" with me, was to jump into the business…and he did it wholeheartedly. After training with Dad for two years, he's now mastered the art of the wok. During the day, his other professions include legal services and his second passion…barbering. Feel free to call the shop if you need to schedule a private haircut, fade or style. You'll have an amazing time…From looking good to eating good!

Jenni's New Baby Boy!!!
May 5, 2020…In the height of the Covid-19, Jenni delivered a healthy baby boy! She's already had two girls, her and Dinh just wanted a boy to balance out the estrogen in the house, and now we can't get her to come back to work! Jenni has an amazing ability to create recipes out of thin air and it'll make your mouth taste things like you've never experienced before! If you ever want something off of our menu, feel free to let us know and she'll definitely have some fun making it!
